Audio formats that play in the app
The app uses Apple's audio system, so it plays what iOS can decode. I checked each format with a test file on iOS 27.2 on November 5, 2026.

|---|---|---|
| MP3 | .mp3 | Yes |
| AAC | .aac, .m4a | Yes |

| AIFF | .aiff, .aif | Yes |
| Opus | .opus | Yes |
| Audiobook | .m4b | Yes, without chapter marks |
| Ogg Vorbis | .ogg | No |
| WMA | .wma | No |

Ogg Vorbis and WMA files
Convert them to FLAC, M4A or MP3 on a computer before importing. If you'd rather keep them as they are, Flacbox and VOX list both formats.
